This is a good, simple way to make rice. I like it best with a little onion, but you can make it with other veggies. You can saute some little pieces of mushrooms, or red peppers and add in. Sometimes I dice a carrot and it makes a nice addition. This is excellent with fish, chicken, or any meat. |
Serves 3 or 4:
Saute onions in butter. Add rice and spagetti, and saute about 5 minutes until lightly browned.Add stock (or water and bullion cubes) and bring to a boil.Cover and simmer over very low flame until done, about 15 minutes. Let rest 10 minutes before serving. |
