Kelsey is Darcy's littermate. At about 8 months it was clear that something was wrong with her hips. Kelsey had a hip replacement done on her right hip the day before her first birthday. Her recovery included underwater treadmill therapy and she loved it. Since then, Kelsey enjoys sitting on steps with her front feet below her hind end especially at the edge into her pond where she watches the goldfish and takes long slurpy drinks. Last year, the hip replacement failed, so Kelsey had an FHO. She is much more comfortable and gets around really well. Kelsey is very lovable, but definitely likes her time alone. She is the more "zen-like" of two. |
